Our large public sector client based in London are recruiting for a Commercial Analyst- IT & Digital.
The successful applicant will be accountable for the successful delivery of all aspects of the procurement service including development of the future pipeline of projects, delivery of high value/complex projects and delivering contract savings through effective contract management.
In this role, you will lead on the procurement of and management of IT contracts, which can be both BAU as well of a complex nature. The post holder will be an experienced public sector procurement professional with an in-depth understanding of IT and Digital categories.
Having worked in a similar role previously, you will bring strong commercial awareness and skills to manage and develop third party supplier relationships. You will be an expert in all aspects of public sector procurement, including supporting the implementation of category strategies and plans. The post holder will be responsible for managing the budget of BAU contracts and ensuring any variances are highlighted and provisioned in the next year's budget.
Your key priorities in this role will be gaining full visibility of IT contracts, entering into substantial negotiations with some key suppliers to gain better value, and driving a proactive approach to contract management and renewals.
The ability to build partnerships, as well as credibility and respect is vital for effectively performing this role. You will work closely with senior managers and key customers to assess requirements and provide expert commercial advice in line with best practice. Success will depend on the development of critical relationships at all levels with various stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
