Description

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, are currently looking to recruit 5x Technical Platform Owners for initial 6 month contracts on a rate of c.£500/day (outside of IR35). This role will be remote based for the foreseeable future.

Responsibilities:
The Technical Platform Owner (Senior Product Manager) is a technical delivery role responsible for the implementation, operations and management of a single product that is especially complex, high risk or sensitive or multiple priority components depending on scale/complexity which are vital to the overall technical architecture & design solution.

The Technical Platform Owner will have, or will develop an detailed understanding of the current and future landscape for digital public services in Scotland, and provide direct support to the Platform Delivery Manager and Head of Technologies & Platforms in the form of developing, through the programme, the operational delivery of various vital technical services.
Reporting to the Platform Delivery Manager, the Technical Platform Owner will be responsible for the evaluation, options appraisal, selection and delivery of common technical (shared) components as part of the overall technical architecture that will underpin the delivery of the programme.
Supporting the broader programme by engaging with Product Owners and a wide range of stakeholders including technical architects, commercial & financial specialists.
The role will focus on technical discovery which are required to support and deliver the overall digital solutions, including but not limited to:
Document Management
Fraud & Error
Logging Monitoring & Alerting
Identity and Verification
Integration
MI & Reporting
Office Technology Services
Payments
Re-determination & Appeals
Telephony

Requirements:
Relevant practical experience of technical project management and delivery of technical solutions through all stages of procurement to implementation and operational delivery
Experience of requirements capture using tools such as MoSCoW to identify Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for technology solutions to support business capabilities.
Experience in working closely with business and procurement colleagues using project management methodologies, such as Agile
Experience of successful collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams such as in-house resources; Solution Architects and Information Security Architects.
Successful track record in requirements capture, management of internal and external ICT delivery partners and management of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver effective IT solutions

Desirable:
Public sector experience.
