Liferay Solution Architect
Our client, a global supplier for IT services, requires an experienced Liferay Architect to join their team in their clients' offices in the West Midlands You can work remotely until Covid abates.
This is 6 months temporary contract, to start ASAP
The right candidate should have good experience in Portal development and Back End system integrations with Liferay DXP and Custom portlets in Liferay.
Role Purpose:
The client is expanding globally which requires SAP implementation across locations. You will get involved in all of these activities from scratch and get good hands on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a Liferay Architect
- Design solution
- Own the overall technical delivery
- Guide and train team members to execute the project
Key Requirements:
Essential:
- Portal development experience using Liferay DXP
- Experience in Liferay migration projects
- Experience with object-oriented design and data modelling for web applications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Liferay solution architecture and deployment designs
- Experience in Liferay DXP Web APIs and Frameworks
- Strong experience in J2EE stack and advanced level knowledge of Java, RDBMS, Velocity & Freemarker templates, UI development using HTML, CSS, AJAX and JavaScript
- Experience in projects on Content Management System migration targeting to Liferay DXP
- 8+ years' technical experience in Liferay Technical
- Experience in dealing with minimum 2 projects related to portal development and Back End system integrations with Liferay DXP, Custom portlets in Liferay
- 2+ years' experience in solution design using Liferay
- Good knowledge of MVC, Spring and other frameworks (very good knowledge of Spring as a minimum)
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong time management and analytical/problem solving abilities
Desirable:
- Worked as Solution Architect in large scale Liferay projects and proven software development experience with Agile methodology
- Liferay Certification
