Our Public Sector client based in London are currently recruiting for an IT Infrastructure Engineer (Citrix focus).
This is a requirement for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure team on a contract basis for 6 months. The candidate must have strong IT infrastructure skills and experience and be capable of working independently and as part of a team to set deadlines and deliverables.
The resource will be primarily focused on the security based work involved in tightening controls around Active Directory, file and folder access and Exchange 2013 and standardising the use of Java across the office.
Essential Experience:
- Minimum 6 years experience in an IT Infrastructure Engineer role
- Strong Microsoft Windows 2012 skills - MCSE or equivalent required
- Strong Citrix knowledge and experience
- Strong Microsoft Active Directory skills
- Microsoft Exchange 2013
- Excellent IT security skills and understanding
- Excellent proven VMware design, implementation and configuration skills - VCP required
- vSphere upgrade skills (vSphere 6 knowledge)
- EMC VNX Knowledge, Recover Point 4, Replication Manager 5, UCS
- Nexus switching (or Catalyst Switches)
- Enterprise backup solution design experience
- Cisco networking knowledge (CCNA desirable)
- Excellent datacenter hardware knowledge
- Enterprise alerting, monitoring and management (SCOM, Solarwinds or similar)
- Backup solution design (Netbackup/CommVault)
- Email archiving solutions
- Excellent general all round IT skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Proven design documentation skills
- Experience working within a business critical organisation
- Excellent time management skills
- Must have proven experience working with ITIL focussed organisation (ITIL foundation beneficial)
- Proven history of working on infrastructure projects
The candidate will be primarily responsible for:
- Working on project and business as usual support
Qualifications required:
- Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience
- MCIPT or equivalent experience
- VCP or equivalent experience
- CCNA or equivalent experience
