DevOps Engineer - SME - Kubernetes - GCP/AWS - contract
My financial services client, are seeking a DevOps Engineer to work with their Cloud Engineering and Devops teams to deliver highly available tools and services to assist with operational and development tasks. You will assist with the building and maintaining of their infrastructure on GCP, AWS and other cloud platforms.
Experience/Responsibilities:
- Deep knowledge of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) on private networks in financial services
- Deliver solution for GKE, now being widely adopted across multiple business units
- Solution is infra-as-code and deployed solely via CI/CD pipelines with these components: Fully compliant with all GKE security control. Squid and Nginx proxies acting as network bridges
- Designed and implement internal Open Source library of reusable security compliant components to build GCP and AWS infrastructure
- Experience writing tests in GoLang to challenge Terraform/Packer/Ansible solutions and provide non-subjective CI outcomes(TDD)
- Embedded GitFlow controls to accept contributions from anybody across the business
