Description
TEKsystems are currently supporting a Life and Pension client for a Scrum Master for an initial 6 month contract on a full agile transformation program of work. The role is fully remote and will be an engagement through an Umbrella company.
The Scrum Master will be responsible to lead a feature team which has recently been stood up. The consultant will be looking after a team of 8-10 people, managing stories, running stand-ups and assisting the team on their agile transformation through utilisation of Agile best practice and techniques. The Scrum Master will be facing-off upwardly to the Delivery Lead and should be comfortable engaging with a team who are on a journey to agile.
Experience:
- Experience working in life and pension client
- Experience working in a hybrid approach of agile and waterfall
- Looking for at least 2-3 years' experience as a Scrum Master, however highly-experienced consultants will be considered at this time and may be given additional responsibilities across the program.
- Must have the ability to ensure the Scrum or Feature team understand Agile practices, the Scrum framework and values, and that the team uses this framework to deliver
- Previous experience of providing support to Scrum or Feature teams using a servant leadership style and leading by example.
- Protecting the team from external and internal distractions; removing impediments so the team can focus on the work at hand; or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment and be adaptable to change.
- Have an understanding of the project delivery cycle and what is required to move from delivery into production.
