IT Security Consultant - HLD, LLD, Design, Architecture, Endpoint, Threat, Cloud
ADARMA are seeking a contract IT Security Consultant with a security engineering background and industry experience across multiple security domains. They will be working closely with our renowned banking partner on a variety of projects linked to the secure deployment of cutting-edge cyber security technologies.
The ideal candidate will be able to threat model a solution, document and deliver the design to a high quality and have the skills to manage stakeholders effectively.
This role is offered on a remote basis although travel to offices UK-wide may be necessary in the future.
Please note that the successful applicant would be expected to engage via an FCSA accredited umbrella company.
Requirements
- Must hold CISSP (or equivalent) certification and show evidence of continued professional growth.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a depth of knowledge across at least three of the following domains:
- Security consultancy, architecture, solution design or engineering background
- Endpoint and Server hardening principles
- Cryptographic knowledge including encryption, key exchange, certificate handling and protocols
- Security Control Frameworks eg ISO27001 and practical experience in their implementation
- Security architecture principles, generic best practices
- Cloud security models including public, private and hybrid concepts
- DevSecOps coding
- Container security
- Cloud policy engineering and deployment
- Network security devices including NGFW, UTM or NIPS/NIDS
- Endpoint defence solutions including NGAV or EDR. Exposure to malware infection vectors and defence methods
- Web application Firewalls, network load balancers, Proxy systems
- Network, Endpoint and Application logging concepts, best practice and monitoring systems including SIEM
- Authentication, Authorisation and Accounting concepts, best practice and IAM management systems. OTP and MFA systems.
- Active Directory Security including federated solutions using ADFS/SAML
- Application security including web applications, SaaS services etc
- Data handling principles, protective marking/tagging and data security knowledge
