My prestigious insurance clients are looking to recruit a Cat Modelling Portfolio Analyst to work within an existing team for an initial period of 3-6 months. We are happy to look at candidates with either AIR or RMS experience BUT you MUST have solid SQL experience.
The NatCat Reporting Data and Analytics function in the Corporate Risk Department of my client and is tasked with monitoring and reporting on the NatCat Exposure of the group.
The role of the Accumulation Cat Analyst is to support the Exposure Management processes, working diligently to create reliable and traceable reports and analytics for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Support my client's accumulation process including the reporting of Natural Catastrophe numbers for the internal model, business planning internal and external reporting.
Contribute to enhancements to the exposure management process, data, architecture and tools
Provide accumulation information to management and ceded RI to help develop insight into the group's exposures
Required Education/Training & Experience:
University degree in a quantitative subject
2-3 years of experience in Cat Modelling with either AIR or RMS
Strong IT skills preferably with programming experience in SQL
Ability to develop innovative, efficient and pragmatic solutions to challenging projects
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Collaborative personality working focused to meet tight deadlines
Other desired skills and characteristics:
Experience in insurance or reinsurance desirable
Experience in catastrophe modelling, exposure and portfolio management desirable
Familiarity with enterprise risk, capital modelling and ReMetrica would be an advantage
