Monitoring and maintenance of the existing vRealize Automation "large" 7.6 deployment
oPerforming checks on the health of the various components of this infrastructure, fixing issues that arise with the various integrations to/from:
'serviceNow
Infoblox
PowerShell
NSX-T
Various REST API Connectivity
Active Directory & Group Policy
vSphere
RedHat Linux
Puppet
KeyPass via PowerShell
'systemcenter
*Operations Manager
*Configuration Manager
*Assisting in complex builds utilizing vRA
oWhilst base and "standard" builds are automated, there are occasions where customisations need to be made either during the vRA build or as a post action in such cases either additional ad-hoc configuration settings are made during the request, scripts are run against the provisioned workloads and also possibly making NSX-T changes to provisioned workloads
*Ongoing development of vRA content
oWorking with various teams to:
Identify candidates for vRA Automation
Place items on the vRA Automation roadmap and publish the roadmap
oWork with the various teams and SME's to develop and deliver the identified vRA Automation content, such as:
'serviceNow integration into vRA
Automated Microsoft SQL Server builds using PowerShell triggered with vRA
oDevelop documentation and perform Knowledge Transfer for each integration and/or content developed
oUnderstanding the roadmap to vRA 8 and the constraints of the migration process in order that if possible content developed is version 8.x aware.
Skills:
*vRealize Orchestrator version 8.x
*vRealize Automation 8.x
*The 8.x part is important 7.x is not sufficient
Responsibilities:
*Convert workflows used in vRA 7.x extensibility to run under vRA 8.x
*Provide advice on blueprint design
*Provide Advice on workflow design
*Help to form strategy around the use of custom properties in vRA 8.x
*Supporting the various teams with in-depth knowledge of vRA 7.x as well as a breadth of general product knowledge, providing guidance and SME input into other teams and projects
