Legal Counsel - Legal - Lawyer - Derivatives - Prime Brokerage - Negotiator- ISDA - Banking - Finance - Commercial
A large tier-1 investment bank, based in London, is looking for a Prime Brokerage Negotiator/Legal Counsel to join their Prime Solutions & Financing team (PS&F).
The Prime Solutions & Financing team (PS&F) is part of a wider London global markets team of 50 plus lawyers and paralegals. PS&F is responsible for the provision of legal, structuring, regulatory, advisory and transaction execution support in respect of the following: Derivatives Execution & Clearing (DEC) which includes clearing and execution of listed commodity futures, Prime Brokerage (PB) and Financing & Collateral Transformation (FCT) within the PS&F Global Business Line.
The role will involve:
- Assiting with the review and processing of cash and synthetic prime brokerage documents in the context of a large project currently ongoing in the PB business.
- Assiting senior colleagues in the team on PB documentation matters, subject to business need and capacity.
- Contributing to functional governance and reporting processes, particularly with regard to prompt escalation of risks.
You will have:
- 3-5 years PQE as a documentation negotioator/legal counsel
- Experience working with complex capital markets documents or projects in an international law firm or investment bank
- Excellent prime brokerage or equity derivatives experience
- An outgoing and robust personality who is capable of working both autonomously as well as part of a cross-disciplinary and international team.
- Excellent communication and drafting skills.
- Strong time management and prioritizing skills, self-sufficient and the ability to operate comfortably in an environment with limited secretarial/admin support.
