Infrastructure/Cloud Engineer, Azure
Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer required for a leading private sector organisation based in Bristol,
Reports to the Hosting Service Owner within Infrastructure Operations Team, the role is responsible for the design, implementation and operations management of the Identity, Infrastructure and Cloud platforms that enable key business services.
Please note: engagement is via umbrella company only - the advertised rate is the maximum rate payable to an umbrella company.
Skills & Experience:-
- Azure including networking, security and deployments
- Active Directory administration within complex forests
- Windows Server operating systems
- Windows Server Roles and Features including DHCP, RADIUS, File Services
- Server Scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and DSC
- Ability to manage key relationships with internal and External IT stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and fix risks.
- Experience of cloud migrations
- Hybrid cloud solutions
General responsibilities:-
- Ensuring that server Infrastructure and services meet the businesses internal and external service level agreements
- Providing technical road-maps for all aspects of Hosting Infrastructure
- Analysing current Infrastructure usage and preventing technical debt.
- Managing group incidents and tickets
- Proactively raising, planning, coordinating and executing change management activities
- Acting as the escalation point for incidents and service in the Tier 1 and 2 organisations
- Maintaining professional relationships with suppliers
- Be conversant in ITIL, COBIT, Agile & Togaf processes
