Contract opportunity - Business Continuity Manager - Outside IR35
Harvey Nash is looking for a seasoned professional with expertise in IT Business Continuity, Operational Resilience and Disaster Recovery for a 6-9 month contract in Sheffield/remote.
You will be responsible for the design, testing and implementation of the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for IT Services. The role is integral in defining and implementing a robust and structured BC/DR process within the IT Department and Organisation, ensuring transparency, engagement and commitment from Executive level to across the IT Services Functions.
As well as developing and implementing internal processes and governance, the role will also need to include third party business continuity engagement of critical third party suppliers.
Essentials:
- Have a strong background in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery within a large/complex business
- Have a proven track record of participating or leading Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery programmes
- Ability to create and perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to identify the critical processes within IT Services, quantifying the impact of a major disruption
- Define strategies based on the results of the business impact analysis and risk assessments and create plans to enhance the resilience capabilities
- Identify reliance on third party services and/or important business services and assess business continuity planning resulting in appropriate controls in place to manage
- Work with the Vendor Management function to ensure that routine supplier testing is carried out by third party suppliers for services the business is reliant on
- Ability to influence senior business stakeholders in order to bring about change and process improvements
- Define and implement processes for Crisis Management, Business Continuity, IT Disaster Recovery Governance
