Mobile Developer
A global Powerhouse within the technology sector is looking for a Mobile Developer to join their team on a contract until 30th June initially, with the view to extend to 18 months.
Android/iOS app design and development with a heavy emphasis on Real Time computer vision.
The Mixed Reality and AI (MRAI) Labs team are looking to build a cloud and mobile app experience involving 3D capture of human subjects for an undisclosed project. The team does not currently have experience in this area, and so we need to seek 1-2 contractors with expertise in iOS and/or Android development to work with our researchers to build the mobile component of the experience.
Typical Day in the Role
Developer will work largely independently, reporting on their work weekly with interludes of intensive interaction during design and review periods. The developer would benefit from a close relationship with the wider team over Teams to facilitate asking questions and unblocking progress.
The developer will get to work on cutting edge computer vision technology and be part of an exciting new experience being developed by MRAI Labs. They will work with a diverse group of world experts to deliver the experience, and the end result of their work will potentially empower millions to take advantage of a new product.
Skills Required
- Android app development
- iOS app development (equal to above)
- Computer vision development (eg OpenCV)
- 3+ years experience + 2-3 sample apps as examples of work.
- Fluent in English.
Performance will be measured by delivering against a backlog of user stories until the project has reached a mutually agreed "definition of done".
Due to COVID, developer will not be able to work on-site and will need to arrange their own working circumstances. Hours are flexible, provided developer sets expectations, attends meetings, and is reachable during at least 3 hours of the typical workday (9-5).
