Description
Windows Lead Engineer - Desktop / Azure / SCCM - vacancy for our Basel based client in the financial sector.Your experience/skills:
- Good understanding of Microsoft Azure and the adoption of Azure services where these relating to Windows client infrastructure, security and application deployments as well as SCCM software packaging and distribution techniques, including DevOps and agile principles applied to both operational and project work activities
- Solid knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems, Office 365 deployment and support in combination with automation and "as-code" approaches to configuring and managing client infrastructure
- Ability to provide excellent customer service while attending to on-going operational tasks as well as carrying out assigned tasks in a professional, efficient and timely manner with a sense of ownership and follow through
- Hands-on competency with ITIL
- Strong analytical capability and problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Languages: English, fluent in written and spoken, German is desirable
Your tasks:
- Working with ITS Infrastructure management to develop and implement the client infrastructure strategy
- Supporting ITS Infrastructure management in key vendor management activities relating to the client infrastructure
- Performing Project management of related projects and prioritizing of operational work
- Implementing, maintaining and enhancing the platform for packaging, distributing, patching and removing software applications to Windows client devices while also implementing the client endpoint security posture ensuring compliance with the Banks standards and expectations
- Managing the user environment, with responsibility for defining, configuring and managing the client desktop experience
- Handling 3rd level support to the Windows client environments to include performance monitoring and resolution of client performance issues
- Producing new and maintaining the existing technical documentation
