Description
A Regional Support Manager is required for a leading financial services organisation in Edinburgh.
This is a contract role, initially for 3 months, paying up to £350 per day.
Responsibilities:
* Assist with the effective and timely production of month-end results and key financial & business analysis highlighting key performance drivers along with explanation of variances and commentary to enable effective decision-making.
* Effectively meet needs of Business Regions and challenge them as appropriate.
* Ensure that Regions manage their costs and headcount within budget.
* Link financial data with other key business MI to develop a broader commercially focused view of the business.
* Assist with quarterly budgeting/forecasting process.
* Assist with annual RM targeting process.
* Develop relevant, reliable and timely ad hoc financial and commercial analysis.
Accountancy qualification or post graduate numerate business qualification or relevant time-served experience.
Strong accounting and commercial background
Likely to have 2 to 3 years post qualified experience delivering one or a number of the key Decision Support activities
Well developed analytical and interpretative skills
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint Skills.
Understanding of Khalix and Access preferable
Capable of influencing the business unit management table, working with and challenging managers on a regular basis
Good understanding of banking systems & products
Ability to operate effectively within an environment of change
Knowledge of Financial Services a benefit but not a pre-requisite
