Client Services Manager - Business Development - Marketing - Relationship Management - Law Firm

A Leading International Law Firm is seeking a Client Service Manager to provide marketing and business development leadership for their Banking sector, delivering added-value and support across the full marketing and business development departments including profile rising through targeted communications and thought leadership campaigns; and business development through the strategic management of pitches and client targeting programmes. This will include supporting the client relationship team to
(1) strategically develop revenues from the clients,
(2) implement systems to promote consistency and quality of service and
(3) ensure delivery of commitments made in successful pitches to the client.

Key responsibilities;
* Support the Client Relationship Partners to develop a Client Service Plan ("CSP") identifying areas to target, contact Matrix, targeting approach etc and the subsequent implementation of the CSP.
* Take responsibility for communication and enforcement of service levels across the wider organisation and the sharing of news and research relevant to the client(s).
* Work with CRP and core team on all proposals in relation to the account and ensure delivery of commitments made during successful pitches.
* Develop relationships with third parties becoming the 'go to' person with any queries.
* Work with CRP and finance to establish most appropriate management tools, systems and billing processes.
* Work alongside CRP to develop the client relationship to assist with account development and facilitation, client queries, pricing and billing issues.
* Ensure the account is managed in accordance with best practice processes, eg regular CRM reviews.
* Work closely with Practice Group marketing teams
* To deliver business development leadership to the Banking sector; including the development of new Products and Propositions; and supporting them in the delivery of their business plans.
* Coach Sector heads and key stakeholders across the International business in raising the Sector group's profile; and targeting leading industry "buyers" and influencers.
* Develop and build key client and industry relationships, participating in client reviews when necessary.
* Support the delivery of credentials "know-how" capability statements and marketing collateral, as required.
* Manage the delivery of communications activity (PR and Internal communications) supporting the sector plans - working closely with the firm's Senior PR and Internal Communications Manager.
* Prepare the sector group's marketing budget and ensure allocated budgets are effectively handled and that investment is targeted at agreed priorities.
* For major sector pitches: help develop a "win strategy"; targeting key client decision makers/influencers through the pitch campaign; and providing insightful Sector insight into the target's main concerns.
* Direct client facing Events; including major conferences and more intimate networking forums.

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to work on their own initiative as well as being part of a team. A proven track record of execution is essential. An excellent understanding of professional marketing approaches, and new business issues. The ability to think strategically and to analyse issues so as to identify creative solutions. Commercial awareness in both approach and delivery.
* Track record in project and budget management and resource allocation preferable.
* Proven success in a key account/financial management role, ideally from within a professional services organisation.
* Thorough understanding of 'best practice' and how to support/implement best practice with process.
* Able to suggest best use of IT to solve problems.
* Self starter with initiative.
* Management/supervisory skills.
* Financial acumen.

Knowledge of Excel and project management tools eg Project Management Professional (PMI), experience of LEAN, Prince 2 and CRM systems.
