Job Duties  Responsibilities:
Installing and configuring NNMi 9.x and Operations Manager 9.x to include installation and configuration of applicable Smart Plug-In (SPI).
Sets technical direction for Enterprise monitoring systems. Ability to recommend, design, and develop and consistently deliver best-in-class solutions for infrastructure, application and service level monitoring. Broad awareness of industry monitoring trends, best practices, and toolset capabilities.
Utilizes strong business acumen to weigh various technical solutions and choose the most effective solution given technical merits, business needs, cost, timelines and office politics
Utilizes strong communication skills and teamwork to collaborate with others in order to meet requirements. Adaptive and flexible, client-friendly, professional attitude with an ability to effectively manage relationships with business, management and technical personnel.
Responsible for maintaining ongoing availability and performance of monitoring systems and planning/implementing updates or modifications according to needs.
Operates in a large network/distributed infrastructure environment as a resource in large-scale, highly complex infrastructure projects.
Implements project management skills including the facilitation of meetings and presentations, estimating, scope, risk assessment, resource planning, evaluating project progress, publishing project status and communication
Utilizes operator-level UNIX and Windows knowledge, at a minimum, for toolset development, maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
Maintains and create technical documentation relating to architecture, processes and standards. Records issues in problem management toolsets such as Remedy.
Consistently utilizes key ITIL processes (Event Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, etc.) in support of the environment.
Responds reliably and promptly to voice mail, paging, email, written and oral communications to resolve system issues when needed (including off-hours and weekends)
Initiative to seek out resources to resolve problems. Deadline driven with an ability to successfully prioritize requests with varying scope and scale.

Skills REQUIRED to be considered:
Min 7 Years Exp: Information Technology (IT).
Min 4 Years Exp (two or more): HP Openview Suite (NNM/NNMi, OVO/OM/OMi) and SPIs. - Architect, manage, install and configure
Min 2 Years Exp (one or more): Network Automation (NA), HP Business Availability Center (BAC), HP Sitescope, HP Real User Manager (RUM), and/or exposure to other major Enterprise class monitoring packages (HP, IBM, CA, BMC, Oracle, Microsoft, Compuware) helpful. - Architect, manage, install and configure
Event consolidation, correlation and toolset integration experience with Manager of Manager (MoM) solutions.
Scripting experience in Perl, .NET, PL/SQL, Unix Shell or similar a strong plus
Experience with .NET, SunOne Web/App SVR, BEA Weblogic, and JBOSS, Tomcat
Basic MS SQL and Oracle DB knowledge/Scripting preferred. Other DB skills helpful.
Familiarity with other ticketing systems and workflow helpful
Fortune 500 IT experience/large-scale infrastructures
Experience in multi-platform distributed environment
Fundamental knowledge of and experience operating in an environment that utilizes ITSM principles such as Change Management.
Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
Ability to implement technologies strategically

Minimum Education REQUIRED:
Prefer a 4 year college degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Business, Project Management or related disciplines.
Prefer ITIL v.3 knowledge or certifications.
Other IT certifications in relevant areas (UNIX, HP, Microsoft, Cisco, Project Management, etc.) helpful
