Job Description:
My client is in need of an Enterprise Application Architect:
The on-site Enterprise Application Architect resource must be strong in the current application technologies listed in the section below as well as have strong communication and technical leadership skills. The on-site resource will be the primary liaison between CLIENT and the vendor and will be responsible for managing all support issues and development tasks to completion. All resources should be well versed with the application technologies listed above, and be able to work independently, ramp up quickly in order to be able to do troubleshooting and support.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities required for the Enterprise Application Architect resource include:
Manage off-shore resources on Tool and SOA services support
Participate on full-phase project governance including Architecture, design and code reviews
Conduct POCs on leading technologies
Troubleshoot technical issues encountered by application developers
Hands-on coding of common library components and various business applications
Programming Languages Java (must have)
The following skills are required for the Enterprise Application Architect:
- Deep experience with: Technology R&D, Large-scale application development, Java/J2EE, Spring/Hibernate SQL/Oracle, Linux/Unix 8+ years
- Experience with: Enterprise Architecture/Application Architecture, Source Code Control Systems and Configuration Management Systems (CVS, Subversion, Git), Application Servers (WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat), Design/UML, Design Patterns, Design, Architecture and Code reviews of large systems. 5+ years.
- Strong knowledge of Messaging Technologies, Integration Technologies, Profiling/Performance tuning, ETL/Data Synchronization. 4+ years.
- Hands on experience with Clustering/Caching, Continuous Integration,
- Unit/Integration/Load/Performance Testing. 3+ years.
- Direct experience with SOA/BPM, WebServices/SOAP/REST/JSON, Rich Web GUI/AJAX/JavaScript (and frameworks)/Flash-Flex, Traditional Web Frameworks like Struts, JSF, Swing GUI, Maven, Lucene/Compass/Hibernate Search. 3+ years.
- Strong familiarity with: Emerging Languages (Scala, Ruby, Clojure), Spring Web Flow/Seam, OSGI, Cloud Apps/Hadoop/MapReduce/Grid Computing, 2+ years.
- Broadcast Engineering and Video Technology experience a big plus
