UNIX systems administrator required to work for a large Education facility. Unix Systems Administrator This position is responsible for supporting the Solaris Server Platform. To be successful in this role, you will need: o Degree Qualification in a relevant discipline with extensive experience, or an equivalent level of industry experience and/or education and trainingo Experience in the management of Solaris 9 and 10 Operating System Environments
o Extensive experience in Python Unix Scripting
o Experience with object-oriented programming
o Ability to analyse issues across an entire enterprise
o Skills in communication of complex concepts and issues to people of all levels
o Experience and exposure to customer service operations including management of feedback and complaints.
o Demonstrated effective communication skills
o Ability to work in a team environment
o Excellent problem solving abilities
o Liaison and negotiation skills
o Understanding and a commitment to quality customer service
o Ability to work in a busy environment with frequent interruptions
