Swim Social Work Recruitment are looking to recruit a Social Worker to join a Duty and Assessment Team based in Brighton. This is a full time post for 3 months initially.You must hold GSCC registration and have at least 2-3 years post qualification experience. The client will not accept CV's if you do not hold this registration/experience, so please apply if applicable.
Your job will be to;
*Making assessments of need and planning appropriate responses.
*To liaise with other agencies in providing an effective child protection service to individuals and families allocated to them.
*Monitoring and supervising the well being of clients according to statutory and Directorate guidelines.
*Empower clients to develop and maintain a capacity for coping without the need for statutory involvement.
*Provide information, advocate for and on behalf of clients and mobilise the necessary resources.
*Maintaining written records of their work in accordance with Directorate guidelines and client access to files.
*Prepare written reports for the Courts and professional colleagues.
*To develop a co-ordinating role for the individuals and families allocated to them and refer to appropriate agencies and resources.
*Attending meetings, the discussion of work policies and processes, allocation of resources, case conferences, reviews etc.
*Participation in the duty service provided to the public may be required. (Out of hours duty is covered by the Emergency Duty Service).
