Our client is a leading Global Producer, Broadcaster and Media Content provider, based in West London. They have interests spread across various genres and are exploring new revenue streams all the time.
Due to an outsourcing project in the future. There is an immediate need to employ a UK Financial Controller on a Fixed term Contract basis for up to 18 Months, to start ASAP. This exciting role is to lead a team of three direct reports & oversee the transactional teams in the shared services.
You will have a broad remit and job to fulfil, responsible for the monthly accounting close. Preparation of the UK stat accounts & managing the group's Audit process.
You will maintain all of the corporate SSC budgets & authorise all payments through the SAP system. During periods of absence, you will be required to manage oversee the transactional teams and deal with any issues that may arise, whilst having an overview of a foreign subsidiary. You will also make sure that all TAX, VAT Returns & National Statistics are filed accurately & on time.
You are a Qualified Accountant (ACA or CIMA) with a background in the Media/Entertainment Industry & experience in a corporate accounting or audit role. You have a strong knowledge of UK GAAP and some knowledge of US GAAP ideally too. Managing people and large teams comes easily to you as does motivating and developing others. You have strong systems skills (SAP) and advanced spreadsheet skills. You're business partnering and stakeholder management experience is key. You must have a notice period of no more than 4 weeks.
