Description
Project Manager sought for a 6 months + contract opportunity based in Gothenburg/Sweden. Your main objective will be to handle cost improvement ideas which have passed the pre-study phase and are now ready for implementation. You are responsible of making sure that there are time/verification plans available for all ongoing project and that these are followed with a "quality comes first" mindset and customer focus. This is done through close cooperation with the cross-functional cost improvement team, designers, purchasing, operations, quality and after-market. A major task will be contributing towards meeting the yearly committed CI target. The work consists of managing and coordinating other project leaders. You are expected to be flexible and to solve problems that can occur during the validation phase.
As a Project Manager your main responsibilities are:
- Manage GOT steered-in cost improvement cases from kick-off to start-of-production.
- Be the cost improvement engineering representative, which requires participation in various local and global meetings where quality and cost is on the agenda.
- Report the Cost Improvement status locally and globally.
- Report functionally to the CI CPM (Cost Improvement Chief Project Manager).
- Assure the quality of product specification within the Engineering sub-systems.
- Participate in the CI process meetings led by the Process Manager.
The ideal candidate for this role should have the following Qualifications:
- Experience from Cost Engineering or Cost improvement Project Management.
- Engine Product/Automotive knowledge.
- Structured and result oriented with Customer Focus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Teamwork oriented.
- Ability to develop a strong and effective global network.
- Courage, Confidence and Team player qualities.
- Experience from Transmission development is a big plus.
- Fluent Business Level English Skills or Swedish skills.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Finland (EU Passport or Work Permit).
