BW Architect
Key Skills Required:
- BW architect that have participated in large BW implementations; that have been responsible for an entire area of a BI implementation
- Assist with governance, including the BW build out, organization of the landscape, system performance monitoring
- Data extraction skills from systems other than SAP
- At least 6 full life cycle implementations
- Implemented BI performance monitoring
- Responsible for BI performance improvement overall
- Data base administration related to BW (how to monitor system heath overall)
- Have worked on complexes landscape environments (dual landscape approach)
The SAP Business Warehouse Architect/Analyst is responsible for delivering SAP BW solutions. This position will provide technology leadership to the SAP Program in support of the global implementation of SAP's Business Warehouse. This position requires the ability to understand business processes and the technology skills to develop and deliver SAP BW application systems.
The SAP Business Warehouse Architect/Analyst will be responsible for:
1. Defining the strategic direction and leading the overall design of SAP BW solutions.
2. Providing technical recommendation to the development team in corresponding data models, usage of Front End reporting tools, ETL tools and technical infrastructure.
3. Developing an optimal technical design that fits with the overall architecture strategy
4. Troubleshooting the BW system and implementing corrective actions
5. The position requires a strong self-starter who is able to manage multiple competing priorities on a daily basis.
6. Strong communication and administrative skills are a must. Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a Matrix environment.
Required Qualifications:
1. Minimum 7 years experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and Business Intelligence solutions with at least 3 years.
2. Experience with latest release B/BWI 7.0 and 3 full life cycle implementation end-to-end including both Back End and Front End tools
3. Proven track record of architecting highly scalable BI systems.
4. Deep knowledge in optimizing performance of large volume SAP BW solutions.
5. Experience in optimizing cube design and data loading.
6. Experience in SAP BI 7 and an in-depth knowledge of various standard extractors and custom extractors.
7. Solid understanding of appropriate Back End data structures and cubes and Front End reporting tools.
8. Experience with flat file, SAP, and other non-SAP data sources.
9. Experience with BW security
10. Very good communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
11. Strong experience in BW performance tuning concepts (reporting optimization techniques) like info cube partitioning, aggregates
12. Demonstrate operational IT experience, particularly in project delivery.
13. Familiarity with project management best practices, methodologies, and tools.
14. Strong Functional experience in one functional area like OTC, STP, PTP or RTR.
