Our client is a prestigious and high profile federal government department that requires an IT Security Manager. This role will see you focusing on all aspects of current Security practices, process improvement and forward planning.
To be considered for this contract role candidates must be able to show experience in IT Security practices and assessment.
Applicants must have experience, exposure or knowledge of the following:
- Proven experience in IT Security in large organisations
- Experience in creating internal documentation
- Ability to react quickly to new trends or threats
- Demonstrated experience in Risk Management planning
- Regular reporting and stakeholder management
- The ability to work with non-technical staff on complex issues
This is a relatively open ended role that is dynamic in nature however your key focus will be:
- Review current IT Security measures and practices
- Ensuring all current activities/ practices are within compliance standards
- Assisting in the development of new security requirements.
- Making improvements and suggestions on existing requirements
- Evaluation of upcoming technology and security trends
- Assisting in current project delivery
