*Experis, formerly known as COMSYS, is looking for a QA Leader for a 6+ month project in Cleveland, Ohio*

Role:
Reporting directly to a Senior Test Manager you will lead a global Test team responsible for delivery of Quality Assured applications to production. You will manage the Functional testing activities and co-ordinate with Non Functional and Loadset testing teams for the delivery of testing for a given customer portfolio.
Generate ideas for expanding current service offerings based on experience and client feedback.
Focus team on key process and service line improvement opportunities based on business objectives.
Actively seek out and consider input from appropriate sources before making decisions.
Provide guidance to team members about how to select and leverage methodology, tools and technology options to maximize personal impact and minimize costs (eg, virtual meeting tools).
Capture and communicate leading practices and seize opportunities to grow clients knowledge (eg, knowledgeable networks, face-to-face events, leading practice development).

Responsibilities:
Plan and manage delivery of all Functional testing activities for assigned projects and Portfolios as appropriate.
Co-ordinate Functional testing with Non-Functional and Loadset Testing teams for assigned projects.
Assist with or where appropriate take responsibility for QA delivery and management of Test resources, Pipeline, Status Reporting, Test Plans, Cases, Scripts, Results, Test Readiness Reviews, post-implementation Reviews
Where appropriate review and approve test plans and test cases ensuring alignment with standards
Ensure that all system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved
Determine the appropriate quality initiatives to implement during each phase of the system development life cycle
Assist in the development of quality assurance and testing policies, standards and procedures
Where appropriate advise User Acceptance Testing for a given Portfolio of projects
Where appropriate manage Team workload, performance and delivery targets
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other IT Services, IT Solutions functions and customers to expedite delivery of IT solutions
Support Test Manager/Senior Test Manager in upward stakeholder management and day-to-day management of the QA & Test organisation
Work closely with off-shore 3rd party vendors to deliver projects to time, cost and quality requirements
Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members, colleagues and/or customers

Skills Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years test management
- Proven experience managing complex test programmes with multiple projects/streams
- Strong Risk Management skills
- Solid test strategy expertise including innovative test approaches
- Experience managing test programmes with different types of testing, ie functional, non-functional, database/backend testing
- Experience working on/managing Microsoft migration or Platform transformation projects an advantage
- Ability to build good relationships both within the QA & Test team and with other teams
- Ability to work across multiple projects
- Ability to bring multi disciplined teams together into one delivery team
- Ability to determine strategic direction not just tactical
- Excellent knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle including Functional & Non-Functional Test Phases
- Good knowledge of current Test and Automation Tools in the market place
