My client, a large public sector employer in Essex has an immediate requirement for a HR Advisor on a 3 - 6 month contract
Job Purpose:
To support the work of the HR Business Partner in providing a professional generalist HR service to managers and employees, embracing employee relations, bullying and harassment, recruitment and training and development. To deputise for the HR Business Partner as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide advice to line managers and employees regarding HR policy, process, recruitment, training and development and employee relations issues.
- To delegate and direct requests for first level advice on general enquiries and recruitment.
- To refer HR matters of strategy, queries of a complex nature to HR Business Partner.
- To develop tools and practices that assist managers to perform their roles
- To provide advice and support managers in handling employee relations issues such as discipline, absence, capability and assist Managers in the preparation of case statements. To act as the Human Resources representative at formal hearings and meetings. To support the HR Business Partner with complex cases and act as a note taker as required.
As the successful candidate, you will have a strong generalist background with a good understanding of employment law. You will be CIPD qualified and must have experience within the public sector.
