CAD Specialist job #2682 – Akron/Canton, Ohio
Local Akron company is seeking a CAD Specialist to fill a current Contract position. The qualified candidate must be able to support Engineering and Sales efforts associated with the sale, design and support of process control systems through the generation and maintenance of technical documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the appropriate Engineering functions, generate and maintain technical documentation including, but not limited to:
ü Electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic control schematics and diagrams
ü Informational drawings
ü Electronic schematics
ü Electro-mechanical assemblies
ü Mechanical details, layouts and assemblies
ü Procedures
ü Manuals
- ?Provide administration support for generating, filing, maintaining and controlling 15%
- master drawings, artwork, manuals and part numbers.
- ?Provide support to Sales proposal generation activities. Assist with component 10%
- pricing and specification research.
- Provide administration support for the maintenance of technical libraries. 5%
- ?Provide support to departmental functions as required. 5%
- Other job related duties as assigned. 5%
Position Requirements:
- ?Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft applications and Schematic Capture applications.
- Two year’s minimum work experience directly relating to the generation of technical documentation.
- Computer skills. PC literate.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Planning, organizational and time management abilities.
- Self-directed with ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.
- Associates degree is preferred but not a must
