Position: ETL Engineer
Duration: 8 months
Contract with extensions in Atlanta
Must-haves
Required:
BS/MS in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent, or equivalent experience in ETL Engineering
5 years of practical experience with RDBMS and SQL (MSSQL preferred)
5 years of practical programming or Scripting experience (Java preferred)
3 years of practical experience with Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence (SSRS preferred)
3 years of practical experience with ETL Tools (Talend preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used in designing, testing, documenting

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
The ETL Engineer hold responsibility for designing, building, testing, maintaining, documenting and adapting the data flow among various business systems.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviewing and understanding the business and data requirements of the various source and destination systems involved in enterprise ETL
Supporting the identification of source and destination data sets
Supporting the data-mapping of source and destination data sets
Developing the specification for the extraction, translation, and loading of source and destination data sets
Developing the extract, translate, and load code and scripts according to the developed specs
Performing unit and system testing of ETL code and scripts
Assisting in the efforts to optimize the performance of applications, systems, and databases
Experience working with business and IT users/owners/subject matter experts and management
