Finance Analyst - Financial Services -London
My client a major financial services company requires a Finance Analyst to work with the modelling team on a major change programme.
The suitable Financial Analyst will be responsible for:
- Evolving business modelling infrastructure.
- Supporting the forecasting and reporting processes through provision of planning infrastructure to support the Medium Term Planning process and business as usual reporting processes.
- Gather and analyse relevant information from a wide range of sources and reflect this thinking in models.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full development life cycle of a new modelling and reporting suite, from scoping the development to setting up appropriate project documentation and agreeing timelines with key stakeholders.
- Maintain a robust control environment, by adhering to internal infrastructure development life cycle standards and change processes.
- Undertake sufficient testing to ensure that the model meets requirements and fit for purpose.
Provide support for changes to existing models and infrastructure.
Key Skills:
- Strong excel skills - other relevant technical analytical skills could also be an advantage eg VBA, Access, SQL etc.
- Ability to successfully manage end-to-end modelling projects (requirements gathering, solution design, build, testing and rollout) with accurate projection of build times and management of stakeholder expectations.
- Evidence of delivering quality solutions within tight deadlines.
Advanced Excel 2007 and data management skills including, experience of integration of Excel with Share Point. - Advanced VBA, classes, modules, events, forms, error handling and logging techniques, use ofADO to interrogate datasets.
Location: South West Rate: £350 - £400
