Description

Sovereign operates a number of extremely successful Neighbourhood Warden schemes across West Berkshire. We are now looking for a new Warden to join the team, providing flexible coverage between Newbury and Pangbourne.

As a Neighbourhood Warden, you'll be our public face, spending the majority of your time patrolling your neighbourhood. Whether you're working with residents' groups; engaging with local youngsters; supporting vulnerable residents; liaising with other agencies to improve neighbourhood services; or keeping the local environment clean and safe, you'll make a big impact. A lot of the work the wardens do involves interacting with local children, so some experience in youth work or engaging with young people would be an advantage. So if you have plenty of initiative and a talent for connecting with people, why not use these skills to make a real difference in the community?

You'll need excellent problem solving and people skills, an unwavering commitment to fostering a renewed sense of community spirit and local pride. A full UK manual driving licence is essential.

We offer 25 days holiday, pension scheme, life assurance, private health cover and a range of flexible benefit choices. We also offer flexible working options and show our commitment to your future development. All applicants who have a disability and meet the minimum criteria will be invited for interview.

For information about the role, please contact Andrew Cooch or e-mail.
