Description
Candle are seeking an experienced Information and data specialist with a solid technical background in MySQL database development and management. You will also have proven experience in corresponding web interface development - Ruby on Rails would be ideal.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all Information and associated systems and processes are managed to the highest possible standards. You will have full ownership and accountability for the Database and all associated Reports, Systems and Processes.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Creation, development and support of the database structure to maximise effectiveness and efficiency of operation
- Maintaining the accuracy of the Database
- Build and manage the web interfaces
- Reporting- ensuring that reports based on the database are created and adapted as required
- Documentation: creating and maintaining clear documentation of the database and associated Queries, Reports and Processes
- Security: through information management and implementation/maintenance of system and data back-ups
- Risk Management: identifying and analysing risks; planning and implementing actions
- Process Improvement implementation
- Strong MySQL development and support skills
- Web Interface development experience (around inputs/outputs of data)- ideally in Ruby on Rails although this is not essential
- Strong understanding of Process and Change Management
You will have strong client facing and stakeholder management skills along with experience or a desire to gain experience in mobile telecommunications!
