DESCRIPTION
The Engineer's primary responsibility is to support the data engineering needs of client network in an outsourcing environment. High level training to conduct network design, implementation and/or configuration activities. Supported technologies/components include: Routers and switches, wireless, load balancers, firewalls and DNS/DHCP.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain, engineering standards and practices.
• Build and ship new hardware, perform test and turn up, and engineer and coordinate implementation of changes to existing devices.
• Coordinate with and interact as an advocate to third party vendors.
• Respond to daily operational issues, resolve technical issues as well as troubleshoot with vendors, customers, and peers, and perform root cause analysis.
• Effectively manage work load using Workflow Management tools.
• Manage special projects on an as-needed basis.
• Weekend and evening work is often required.

Qualifications:

• Required technical expertise in the fundamentals of network design in more than one area of network engineering.
• Experience in customer relations.
• Knowledge of implementing and maintaining complex designs.
• Five or more years of data network engineering WAN/LAN experience.
• Wireless network engineering and Firewall experience.
• Strong organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Strong customer/vendor relationship management skills required.
• Ability to work with technical and business-oriented teams and clients.
• Create and maintain technical documentation on devices, applications and systems.
• Proficient with Visio.
• CCNA Certification.
• Load balancers, DNS/DHCP, and Firewall and VPN configuration experience.
• PCI Compliance Experience.
• Knowledge of VoIP.
• Bachelors degree in technical discipline.
• CCNP/CCIE knowledge desired.
• ITIL desired.
