Our public sector client is looking to recruit a Waste Team Leader to assist the Shared Waste and Parks Manager with the daily management of waste and street cleansing contracts, as well as ensuring that contractual and statutory obligations are met. The Waste Team Leader will also act as Manager to the Waste Technical Officers to ensure that the services are operated efficiently across the defined region.

As the Shared Waste Team Leader your duties will include:
Day to day management of a small team
Assisting with providing up to date information on new legislation that will affect service provision and checking compliance at all times with statutory duties under current legislation
Ensuring effective waste management and recycling is enforced
Writing committee reports, dealing with queries, problems and complaints

The Shared Waste Team Leader will:
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate good IT skills
Have up-to-date knowledge of the waste management industry including laws/legislations relating or relevant to the service, such as the Environmental Protect Act or Clean Neighbourhoods

Candidates will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent. A Full Membership of the Charted Institution of Wastes Management will be advantageous to your application.
