Title: Information Architect
Location: Minneapolis, MN (55415)
Duration: 6months + (extensions likely)
Our client is seeking an Information Architect. The person in this role will be responsible for leading the development of website experiences in order to optimize the user experience and achieve business goals on their websites.
Translate user goals and business goals into effective website designs.
Work with agencies and internal resources to create wireframes, prototypes, site maps, use cases, process flows, and functional requirements.
Write creative briefs and project briefs as needed to define project goals and metrics.
Ensure design and content solutions are strategic, targeted, engaging and show a clear understanding for our target audience.
Manage usability studies and other research.
Present information architecture deliverables to internal partners for approval.
Test and implement innovative online solutions to meet business and user goals.
Ensure visual, functional, and conceptual consistency across our sites.
Use website analytics to identify areas of improvement and measure performance.
Skills:
Ideal candidate will have five to 10 years experience in leading the development of successful online experiences that meet user and business goals.
Three to five years experience in usability, information architecture and/or interactive design.
Strong understanding of usability best practices.
Understanding of customer requirements, competitive offerings and Internet marketing best practices.
Passion for creating smart user experiences.
Experience managing online marketing programs a plus (such as email, search, site marketing, landing page optimization, A/B testing etc.).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to meet compressed deadlines and timeframes.
Experience in financial services, marketing communications or other related field a plus.
