Experis, one of the nation's leading I.T. Staffing and Managed Services companies, has an immediate need for a Network Operations Support resource for a 3+ month (contract to hire) opportunity in the Peachtree City area. The details are below:

Client is looking for someone with a Cisco CCNA certification, or equivalent experience. This persons primary responsibility is what client calls Network Operations Support.

Open and manage tickets in our network providers ticketing system (Verizon) using Remedy
Communicate status updates with responsible parties
Log into remote Routers to validate network outages
Provide support to the local IT and interface with Verizon to resolve outages
Escalate complex tickets to a network engineer for additional support

The ideal candidate would be someone who came from a Network Operations Center (NOC) and handled this day in and day out as routine support. The person will not be designing or architecting systems or networks, candidate will be maintaining the basic infrastructure, particularly the Routers and circuits on clients global network.

As fill-in work, other tasks will be assigned on a case-by-case basis. Typical items would include:

Performing simple configuration changes on network gear
Helping provision VPN access for end users
Performing simple VoIP moves adds and changes (client will train)
