DESCRIPTIONThe Nutrition Database Consultant will manage accurate nutrition and ingredient information. The position involves data entry into a global database and maintaining accurate information within the database.
Responsibilities
- Validate published nutrition information against the master database.
- Implement appropriate naming conventions, references, and history logs within the database.
- Calculate nutrient information and create Nutrition Facts Panels for new test products.
- Responsible for team deliverables and meeting specific milestones related, but not limited to regular nutrient data inquiries by creating Excel reports, Nutrition Facts Panels, and other custom reports.
- Serve as primary reviewer/approver of all communication vehicles that carry nutrition information.
- Follow, maintain, document, and establish standard processes to maintain, sustain, and improve the nutrition database.
- Collaborate with Director and Manager to define additional system requirements and functionalities.
- Assume any other responsibilities or complete any special projects as directed.
- Bachelor of Science degree in either Dietetics, Food Science or Human Nutrition.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Qualitative analysis experience - 2-4 years.
- Must possess great attention to detail and be genuinely interested in diligent data management.
- Experience with ESHA Research Genesis or other nutritional databases.
- MS Excel and Access expertise.
- Demonstrated progression towards the Registered Dietitian credential accepted.
- Registered Dietitian preferred.
