Our clients team delivers online services for our client and is leading the efforts to reinvent the infrastructure for the industry. The teams group is looking for a Service Engineer (SE) who has experience running complex systems, using Scripting to automate, experience with monitoring and scalability solutions and a mindset to simplify a complex environment. The successful candidate will be self-motivated; have strong Scripting skills (preferably in PowerShell); Strong SQL Skills; excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills; ability to learn new technologies; ability to think strategically; and good communication skills. In addition the successful candidate will have a desire to work with and gain a deep understanding of networking devices, protocols, and architecture.
We are looking for a talented SE who is looking to work in a dynamic and agile environment with interesting challenges and far reaching impact for our clients online services.
Additional Skills: Key Responsibilities:
Networking
- Advanced understanding of routing, load balancing and switching protocols
- ability to work with tools and hardware vendor staff to articulate and advocate
for accurate, complete, and sustainable monitoring practices in network devices and tooling
- working knowledge of enterprise/carrier class network device components,
capabilities, services, vendors
Languages
- PowerShell, TSQL (Must have)
- C#
Protocols/Services
- SNMP, tacacs/radius, ssh
- working knowledge of WCF, Kerberos, NTLM, Load Balancing (F5/Citrix)
Windows System Engineering
- expertise in Windows Server setup, administration, and performance optimization for
medium scale infrastructure management applications
- expertise in enterprise hardware selection and sizing
- strong working knowledge of infrastructure Services: DHCP, DNS, AD/Group Policy
System Administration
- performance and availability
- ability and willingness to develop meaningful documentation of processes
