Description
DESCRIPTIONThe Network Services/Support consultant will perform network Tier II fault management support. Proactively resolve and escalate network incidents affecting the customer base, alerted by network management alarms which are presented via a ticketing system and resolve trouble tickets referred after Tier 1 troubleshooting was performed.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of skills required to troubleshoot and resolve multiple types of device technologies by understanding and using various tools, utilities, and processes.
- Knowledge of Cisco Routers and Switches.
- Experience with TCPIP, BGP, OSPF, and routing protocol.
- Must be able to effectively operate and alter device states to restore service.
- Must practice critical thinking and troubleshooting skills while assessing customer impact.
- Independent decision making ability to select actions that restore network service.
- Requires critical and immediate decision making to resolve or prevent network incidents.
- Must remain current on skill growth as network devices and topologies evolve.
- Required Certifications: CCNA
