Windows Technical Support

Our large Energy client is seeking a Windows Technical Support for a long-term contract in Charlotte, NC. The Windows Support Technician is responsible for mitigating both internal and external user's computer issues; anticipating and preventing potential issues and responding to user service requests. Model ethical behavior and execute job responsibilities in accordance with core values and ethics policies

Responsibilities:
- Provides general Workstation inventory, setup and login processes to IS&C team and tracks Workstation equipment inventory.
- Provides new team members with overview of general user functions (such as Energy client's login process), conducts periodic audits of hardware inventory, reporting audit findings.
- Troubleshoot problems with computer systems, departmental software with in the IS&C group.
- Assist in the implementation of procedures and work practices for identifying, reporting, repairing, computer needs and/or deficiencies.
- Supports workspaces and applications such as (SharePoint's, CollECT, Outlook, etc.).
- Plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments and prioritize workload.
- Assists in setting up workspaces and securities for new project, new user workspaces.
- Perform computer accounts management activities within Active Directory.
- Complete and submit Enterprise Forms in a timely manner as needed.
- Maintain good working knowledge of all departmental applications used in the network.
- Complete weekly reports as directed.
- Provide one-to-one/group technical training with end users as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong working knowledge of Windows XP Operating System and Windows 7 in an enterprise environment.
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint Services (3.0) or higher.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills Skilled in the use of desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a team focus.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with large volumes of data in a wide variety of file types across multiple Servers and collaboration applications/platforms.
- Ability to assist leadership in handling and escalating questions, concerns, issues related to staff, processes or data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field.
- 2 years' experience providing technical support in an enterprise environment.
- Basic level of experience with Citadon.
- Advance knowledge and skill with SharePoint (Administrative level a +).

Travel and attendance requirements:
- This position is Charlotte NC. Successful candidate must have and maintain excellent attendance record.
- Consistent 40 hour weeks are expected; overtime is infrequent but is a possibility.
- Work hours will be set with corporate management, and will range from 6 am to 6 pm.
- Work schedule may be modified with approvals based upon staffing and workload levels.
- Position may require overnight travel for training and/or meetings.
