SQL Server DBA/Database Administrator – Production – SQL Server 2005 – London – To £300 per day
This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced production SQL Server DBA/Database Administrator to join a growing company based in London, as part of a progressive and exciting IT road map.
The role covers two main aspects – the first is the Production Support, where you will take a senior role in the Production support of a large number SQL Servers; these business critical databases are the Back End of numerous business critical global systems. Secondly, you will also take a leading hands on role in new projects – these will include installations of entire new servers, as well as upgrades and installation of new “off the shelf” products and bespoke developed systems.
The successful SQL Server DBA/Database Administrator candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience in the following key areas;
· Worked as either the sole SQL Server DBA, or as part of a small team of SQL Server DBA’s (ideally covering more than one site, although this is not absolutely critical)
· Installation of SQL Server 2008 from 2005 across numerous databases (someone who has written installation scripts would be desirable, but not critical)
· Support of "off the shelf" SQL Server based products
· Strong Production DBA experience
Microsoft Certifications would be desirable, but are certainly not critical. Essentially, you’ll be able to show that you’ve taken a lead role in both hands on support and project work as a SQL Server DBA.
