Description
SUMMARY:
Design, develop, implement, and maintain of all Back End processes and procedures that support company's Global Mail applications. Effectively apply analytical problem solving skills to create highly scalable, enterprise-level solutions in a high volume transactional data environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for complex Data modelling and schema designs. Develop databases, reporting development and data migration. Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, packages, and jobs. Ensure optimization, performance tuning, and monitoring of databases. Perform troubleshooting and issue resolution. Work in conjunction with other members of the Development team to ensure successful implementation and integration of other tiers in multi-tier applications and communicate technical parameters and constraints to relevant teams. Coordinate tasks and participate in the completion of projects to ensure objectives are met in accordance with prescribed priorities and time limitations.
Desired Skills & Experience
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field of study and a minimum of 10 years of database design, development, administration and implementation experience; preferably supporting Java and Informatica applications. Project planning and project management experience is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues. Strong SQL data access skills including demonstrated experience with complex SQL queries. PL/SQL development experience. Experience with Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11i in a Linux environment. Experience with SQL Loader. Exposure to SQL Server and DTS. Experience with performance tuning. Documentation experience. Experience with Oracle Replication technologies. 3+ experience with oracle RAC systems. Experience with VLDB > 2 TByte
