Systems Administrator - Windows Server

Experis IT is seeking a - Windows Systems Administrator. The ideal candidate will be a highly capable Windows Systems Administrator with competency beyond the O/S and server hardware layer. An experienced, effective team player capable of independent collaboration with the business/developer side. An IT professional with well-developed soft skills including communication skills, the ability to work effectively on a team, and the ability to see a project through to completion.

Core Competencies we are looking for are as follows:
Technical Skills
- 4-7 years Windows Server Administrator experience a must
- Windows Server 2008 experience highly preferred
- Application server/database server experience of some kind highly preferred (Not DBA-level)
- Would-be-nice, but not mandatory (Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL, VMware, Dell/EqualLogic, HP Blade, LeftHand SAN)

Communication Effectiveness
Ability to concisely relate technical concepts with a high degree of meaningful content
Ability to modify technical communication to audience-appropriateness while being respectful to the target audience
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person- including correct grammar and spelling

Team Capability
Demonstrated preference for working as a member of a team.
Capable of performing team tasks and supporting efforts beyond individual exceptionalism
Capable of taking on a leadership role on individual projects, including the ability to reach out and/or delegate project components in order to meet timeliness and quality objectives

Dependability/Work Ethic
Demonstrated history of ownership of work product
Demonstrated history of dependability at work
Demonstrated initiative to proactively solve problems without needing to be asked, but capable of recognizing when issue scope requires further/management input

Problem Solving Capability
Able to focus on delivering the desired solution or outcome without requiring detailed step-wise instructions
Capable of performing root-cause analysis for issues and isolating necessary configuration changes, as opposed to taking a symptomatic approach
Capable of exercising judgment to identify and select the appropriate level of effort to use in solving an issue against its short, medium, and long-term risk, while communicating such value-judgments and alternative options to management
Demonstrated history of communicating and documenting solutions to prevent their recurrence
Able to focus on the process of a solution, not just the technical details, and propose process remedies in addition to or as an alternative to technical remedies
