Title: Content Production Specialist
Location: San Jose, CA
Contract: 6+mths (renewed quarterly)

Rate: 30hr

Job Summary
Responsible for performing production quality assurance for print, graphics and web-based learning products distributed in a variety of outputs including print, eLearning, eBook, web and other delivery formats.

Supervision Given/Received
Receives work and direction from the Content Team Lead and Graphics Lead
Reviews work with the Content Team Lead to help resolve higher-level problems

Primary Responsibilities
Perform PowerPoint graphic layout and text layout
Provide all aspects of production prep for Word and PDF layout, formatting and pagination
Apply brand Identity quality assurance compliant with Clients learning product standards
Ensure that all final formatting and graphical outputs meet client distribution requirements
Work closely with extended team of developers, instructional design and the team to support meaningful and relevant visual learner experience within the framework of the clients brand identity.


Skills Required
Excellent time-management skills, experience in fast-paced working environment, and ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects
High degree of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail is a must
Ability to learn and enforce style and formatting rules
Ability to meet all project timelines and deliverables on concurrent projects as assigned
Ability to communicate project status effectively to Team Lead, Graphics Lead and other extended team members
Ability to be proactive, collaborative, and flexible with project variables and changing requirements
Ability to apply and work with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates, graphic file formats and graphic editing programs.
Familiarity with UI design, and button and icon design for web delivery
Experience with technical and educational publications and/or other technical learning content preferred
Experience preparing PowerPoint files and other graphics for a variety of output formats (print, e-learning, mobile apps).
Ability to apply consistency and standards to written and visual learning materials.
Good sense of humor, flexibility, and a "customer first" attitude are a must
Self-motivated to learn, trouble-shoot, collaborate and contribute independently and as a member of a fast-paced and dynamic team
Contributes to and helps maintain developer minimum design standards, style guidelines, templates, and icon library

Prior Experience Needed
Strong computer skills and independence
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
Experience in creating and maintaining Word and PowerPoint templates
Working proficiency with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
Experience working with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Dreamweaver a plus.
Experience and/or understanding of optimizing graphics for web delivery
Must have good basics in email communication, file transfer (ftp), and other productivity applications
Must be able to effectively communicate with clients as needed

Prior Experience and Skills Preferred
Experience with InDesign, XML, a plus
Experience with variety of graphics and web design tools highly desirable
Working knowledge of desktop publishing templates, particularly Microsoft Word-based
Familiarity and experience with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign a plus
