Our Toronto based telecom client is asking us to provide an OSS/BSS Support Specialist for a contract lasting through to Dec plus applicable extensions. Details of the required skills are below. Applicants must be received prior to Nov 7 2011.Working knowledge/exposure/experience in key OSS applications including:
HP Openview Operations, HP Service Manager, HP Openview Service Desk, HP Openview Network Node Manager, Telcordia Granite, Telcordia Network Engineer, CA eHealth, Business Objects, Twiki, Web Portal
Installation and upgrade experience for various OSS (Operations Support Systems) application systems (as noted above) highly desirable.
Working experience in performing network and system management functions for commercial and/or power system telecom networks.
Good knowledge of networks and related services such as: SONET, LAN, LAN-Extension, Internet and IP-based service delivery technology to deliver network solutions.
Experience in computer programming and data base access methods.
Knowledge of UNIX operating systems, Middleware, WEB systems, and reporting packages.
Project management experience of small to medium size projects.
Familiar with ITIL concepts required to support Change and Incident Management processes
Ability to produce technical documentation and deliver operations training on Operational topics.
Solid communications skills
Four year university education in computer engineering or computer science, or equivalent.
A period of 3-5 years of related professional experience is required.
Note: Role will require support of on-call functionality.
