EQUIPMENT COORDINATOR
The Equipment Coordinator role will focus on coordinating all equipment shipments from the factory to Canada at the lowest possible cost and most efficient means and the order entry and processing of all complete machines.
Order Management
- Minimize customers freight costs to help keep our pricing competitive
- Request quotations from freight carriers per load specs being shipped and select a carrier that gives good reliable service at the best price.
- Communicate all shipping detail information to factory, carrier, sales dept and customer.
- Review and approve details of all freight invoices as per carriers booked and process weekly.
- Maintain a up to date database tracking all shipment details.
- Maintain a database of accepted carriers and continually look for new carriers that may provide better service.
- Invoice customers for freight, or add to the order, as the order dictates.
- Email sales force shipment summary information on a regular basis.
- Order entry of complete machines, ship verification and inventory receipt.
- Provide backup to Aftermarket Sales Support representative in parts service dept.
- Provide customers with certificate of origins and customs papers for licensing of portables.
- Increased order configuration accuracy
- Increased order pricing accuracy (for orders with special pricing agreed to in advance)
- Timely review of orders and release to manufacturing.
Knowledge & Skill
- Strong technical application knowledge.
- Technical knowledge of all DIPP products
- Good Interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively utilize personal computer including Windows applications (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Email, etc ), and Business enterprise systems (Oracle, Navision)
- Ability to multitask and function in an interrupt-driven environment
Experience
- 2-3 years experience required
- Customer service experience is a plus.
