Need Senior Technical Lead with emphasis on strong leadership skills for major expansion of the EC Offers Capability application. Technology includes Java/J2EE, Mainframe, and SOA solutions (WebSphere Stack).

We prefer having someone that has been hands on within the last 3 years. This would eliminate current Project Managers and Architects that have not had recent hands on delivery in the skills that we desire.

For this position, we are seeking a technical focus with strong leadership ability.
% leading to hands on:
70% Leadership
30% Development, primarily design (more during design phase)

MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- Ability to lead large technical teams (8-15 developers) across multiple platforms (UNIX, SNET, ETL, Mainframe), assign tasks, and monitor status
- Ability to lead highly complex SOA application design and create clear technical documentation
- Experience in working with offshore resources, including managing delivery processes, reviewing quality, and balancing workload
- Must have UNIX skills, Back End Java experience, and XML technologies in J2EE or WebSphere Application Server
- Excellent analytical skills, judgment, and oral and written communication skills
- Experience with DB2 UDB, zSeries operating system, TSO, CA7, Spufi, Report generator and SQL and Cobol code
- Experience in shared services environments, including master data management solutions
- Knowledge of business systems and processes within the financial services industry

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
(these skills are needed to do the job candidates that possess these skills will be a better overall fit for this assignment):
- Recent working knowledge of multiple tools used in SOA architecture, including Harvest, Quality Center, ANT, SOAP UI, and XMLSpy
- Experience working with customer information systems, specifically WebSphere Customer Center WCC/Infosphere MDM Server (while this is a nice to have,
- A Bachelors Degree is preferred for this position, however candidates with commensurate experience will be considered.

Bachelors degree and 9+ years progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with web based languages such as .NET, JAVA or J2EE. Provides direction in the development and maintenance of application programs as well as participates in various phases of the development cycle. Ensures development adheres to performance optimization, interoperability standards and requirements, and compliance with IT governance.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management methodology, Middleware application development (such as WebSphere, MQ) and demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills. Ability to generate requirements and documentation for solutions and proficient in generating test data to debug most complex programs within integrated business applications across a variety of environments. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to team members, management and/or vendors.
