RF Engineer (Telecommunication) This is your chance to work for a global company in the Telecommunication industry. This reputable organization is on the lookout for 5 Area Engineers to assist the RF Team Leader for each state. You will be required to take overall responsibility for a group of sites associated with a major technology swap projectYou will be;- Undertaking coverage analysis using prediction tools provided;
- Development of required data fill information for the responsible sites;
- Organizing and monitoring benchmark drive testing;
- Preparing benchmark drive testing reports in accordance with the documentation guidelines;
- Managing the swap night activities associated with the sites under the Area Engineer responsibility;
- Managing the optimization activities for the sites in question including deployment of drive test teams, analysis of DT results and recommendations for parameter tuning as necessary;
- Organizing and monitoring acceptance drive testing;
- Undertake analysis of drive testing results using the analytical tools provided;
- Preparing acceptance related documentation in accordance with the documentation guidelines;
- Overall taking responsibility for the KPI performance of the sites that are the allocated responsibility of the Area Engineer.
You will have;
- Bachelor degree or above majoring in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or relevant experience;
- To work as a member of a team - respond to the RF Team Leader directions and lead and direct Drive Testing teams as appropriate;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to prepare the required documentation;
- At least 3 years of RF planning & optimization engineering experience in WCDMA/HSPA/GSM networks. Demonstrable experience in parameter related tuning in multi-vendor environments would be an added advantage;
- Familiar/excellent in the fundamentals of WCDMA/HSPA and GSM systems;
- Familiar with/excellent in multi vendors' wireless equipment operation and wireless network optimization;
- Tools experience for: RF planning, propagation models, RF Drive Testing Tools and testing setup, RF optimization, protocol analysis, etc.;
- Familiar with world famous operators' working method and culture;
- Able to work well in a fast-paced changing and experience working with cross-cultural teams would be desirable.
