The City of Subiaco is seeking Expressions of Interest for a part-time Project Manager to coordinate and implement the City's new Integrated Planning Framework (Strategic and Business Planning).

The City of Subiaco is a progressive inner city council renowned for its quality of lifestyle, vibrant business sector, environment and streetscapes. It is a dynamic and diverse local government that continues to develop and deliver innovative and broad-ranging economic, environmental and social programs.


The City is seeking expressions of interest for a Project Manager role that will support the implementation of the Integrated Planning Framework to meet new statutory compliance requirements

This will initially be a part-time role (~24 hours per week) on a 12 month contract with a possible 12 month extension, with work to be undertaken both from home and the City's Subiaco offices.


This role will suit someone with a strategic planning and project management background looking for a role that allows them to make a significant contribution to a dynamic and exciting inner city local community whilst enjoying very flexible working arrangements.


Initially you will be supporting the organisation with an internal audit of the City's community plans to determine their relevance and currency to a new Strategic Community Plan developed out of the City's ground-breaking Think2030 project. Reporting to the CEO, you will work with key stakeholders to integrate and align all current and future strategic and operational activities.


Your secondary purpose will be to develop and communicate best practice guidelines for future planning and project management activities that will ensure ongoing integration and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.


The required key skills and knowledge include an understanding of business management, corporate planning processes and an ability to communicate at all levels within a change management context. You will need to be able to build good working relationships and have strong report writing skills. Knowledge of the local government sector will be an advantage, but is not essential.
