Experis (formerly COMSYS) is recruiting for their client in Cincinnati, Ohio for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis. General Purpose of Position:
Delivers a project on time, within budget, while meeting the Client's expectations. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of departmental technology projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Shares responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating activities pertaining to technology projects for a given business unit. Ensures that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives. Monitors project activities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Experience managing full life-cycle projects, including schedule, budget and risk/issue management
IT project planning cost, schedule, deliverables to meet business need.
Manage budget for project(s) under direct control.
Serves as project liaison with business unit.
Client interface for rollout coordination, prioritization, and task management.
Supplier interface for projects under direct control.
Information systems project execution including testing, documentation, and support transition,
Manages project risks and issues.
Business case development/tracking, including, total project cost.
Tracks performance criteria for project success criteria.
Skills and Abilities:
Experience in implementing enterprise infrastructure-related projects in highly diverse and geographically distributed environment s on time, on budget, high business fit.
Highly developed oral and written communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others.
High level of analytical ability.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Education and/or Training:
Undergraduate degree required in business, math, computer science, engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus (preferred).
Minimum 5 years experience in information technology project management discipline across diverse application areas and technologies.
PMP certification preferred.
