Enterprise Application Integration Business Analyst
Music/Entertainment industry preferred.
The Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Business Analyst is a hybrid role with a focus on both hands-on Enterprise Application Integration projects along with big picture Enterprise Architecture level process, data, systems definition and modelling.
From the EAI perspective this role will be responsible for understanding end-to-end exchanges between IT applications. He or she is the bridge between business requirements and technical design and as such will be working closely with multiple application Business Analysts.
The Enterprise Architecture component of this role will work closely with business and IT aligned resources to understand and document the company technology landscape as it ties to function, process, system and data and work in conjunction with the broader EA team to both sculpt the future blueprint for the company and work towards successful implementation over time.
In both capacities this position will work directly with project teams and business representatives to fully understand data requirements.
The candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of EAI/ETL best practices and the ability to design and implement consistent solutions across the territories, as the company establishes a core Enterprise Application Integration function. This candidate should also have a working understanding of key Enterprise Architecture principles and practices.
The EAI Business Analyst must be able to demonstrate the ability to produce design and specification documents. She/he must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to document and present solutions to both business and IT audiences.
Core responsibilities will include:
EAI
Collecting and analysing business requirements and transferring the same knowledge to development team
Evaluating the data collected through task analysis, business process definition, surveys and workshops
Preparing accurate and detailed requirement specifications documents
Influencing processes to harmonize interfaces across territories and maintain a Global design per functional domain (SOP, payroll, etc ).
Communicating effectively with business and project management
Obtaining sign-off from the appropriate client
Designing and executing the test scripts and test scenarios using HP Quality Center solution
Assisting business unit representatives who test, validate and determine issues
Providing a level 3 support in case of production failure (must be exceptional)
Enterprise Architecture
Engage in application and data modelling in alignment with business priorities
Analyze current-state architecture and make recommendations for improvement
Conduct comparative analysis supporting technical standard definition process
Document core business domains from a function, process, data and application perspective
Maintain documentation in corporate Enterprise Architecture tool
Required:
5+ years experience with information technology projects
Hands-on experience in EAI/ETL
3+ years experience in full life cycle application development.
3+ years experience in structured analysis and design principles and techniques.
3+ years experience in developing structured test plans.
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and Visio.
Working knowledge of database design/Datamodelling.
Working knowledge of web-based design/functionality.
